A Night of Empowerment and Inspiration: Recap of the XIXILI Lingerie Fashion and The WOW Show 2024

The 2024 edition of XIXILI Lingerie Fashion Show and The WOW Show that took place in Stage 1 Theatre, PJPAC 1 Utama on 8th August 2024 is more than just a fashion event; it was a show of women’s empowerment and body positivity, which left a lasting impression to our guests. With its blend of humour, education and inspiration, the show proved to be a truly unforgettable experience.

One of the most prominent themes that emerged from the feedback was the show's ability to empower women. Our guests praised the event for creating a supportive and inclusive space where women could feel confident and comfortable in their own bodies. As one of our guest shared, "It's inspiring to see how the event encourages girls, women and ladies to be confident, comfortable, and proud of every inch of their bodies.”

Another key theme was the show's educational value. By using humor to address important issues like sexual health, the WOW Show effectively normalized conversations around these topics. As one of our guest noted,  "The show helped normalise conversations around sexual health, effectively removing layers of shame, embarrassment, and bias that often cloud these discussions."

The main highlight of the night is the XIXILI Lingerie fashion show. The models were a captivating blend of divas, diverse, and dancers. Their confidence and charisma shone on the runway, while their diverse backgrounds and body types challenged societal beauty standards. Adding to the dynamic atmosphere, the dancers also showcased their impressive dance skills, creating a truly unforgettable performance.

The talented singer, Kael,  added a musical element to the event, further enhancing the show's overall atmosphere and making it a truly special occasion.

The show was hosted by 3 talented womens, featuring Malaysia's Queen of Comedy Joanne Kam, Malaysia’s legendary powerhouse singer Ning Baizura, and writer, editor and podcaster Shazmin Shamsuddin.

The event continued with a sofa session with Jasmine King, creator of ‘Jas Explains’, a platform for Malaysians to discuss on consent, boundaries and safety.

The "Where is the G Spot" segment was a hilarious skit about SmileMakers vibrators, each with a unique description. The skit was filled with laughter and awkwardness, and our guests couldn’t stop laughing at every characters' explanation.

At XIXILI, we merchandise SmileMakers products on our webstore to promote sexual wellness. Check out the link here.

Malaysia’s legendary powerhouse singer Ning Baizura, delighted all our guests with her new songs and a stunning performance.

Joanne Kam, the Malaysian's Queen of Comedy and Shaimane Othman, a stand-up comedian, captivated guests with their sexy jokes and endless humour.

Behind the scenes, our sponsors were the backbone to making this event a great success and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to their generous support to collaborate towards a successful 2024 XIXILI Lingerie Fashion Show and The Wow Show Live.

Shiseido’s expertise in enhancing the beauty of our host and models, and together with our very skilled hairstyling partner GHD Malaysia created stunning looks for all those on stage.

The canapes this year were curated and prepared by the wonderful trained chefs from the refugee community at Pichaeats.

Our special goodie bag is procured from The Thimble Collective, in collaboration with Refugee for the Refugees, which has dedicated years to running impactful empowerment programs, crafting livelihood opportunities and fostering meaningful relationships with refugee led organizations.

Finally, The Spot Community, for sharing about the good things they do, advancing comprehensive sexuality education to young people. Last year, we have helped Spot community to distribute 1000 activity booklet which includes content of different types of breast shape, how to know and measure your bra size to 13-15 years old Malaysian students around Peninsular Malaysia.

The XIXILI Lingerie Fashion Show and The Wow Show Live was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on guests and the community.
